Vacancies on the Board, including resignations and retirements, shall be filled as soon as possible by appointment by the remaining members of the Board in accordance with state law and established District procedures.
Candidates for a vacancy on the Board shall be appointed at an open meeting. A majority vote shall be required for all appointments to the Board. Board members appointed for unexpired terms shall take office immediately upon having taken and filed the official oath. Such appointee shall hold office until a successor is elected and takes office per current State Statutes.
