Board members are encouraged to attend workshops and other meetings that provide opportunities for professional development. Professional development for Board members helps the Board stay informed of current educational issues and assists them in governing the District in the most informed manner possible.
Board members shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in attendance at meetings and other professional development activities in accordance with established guidelines and practices.
Prior Board approval is required for attendance at out-of-state conferences or meetings.
