Consistent with its general goals, philosophy and Wisconsin State Statutes and federal requirements, the District established these general instructional goals as policy.
The District will provide an educational program for all children who attend school in the District. The primary purpose will be to provide educational experiences that will equip each student with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that will allow them to live a full life in our democratic society.
To this end, the District, through the administration and teaching staff, will strive to provide the atmosphere and opportunity for all of our students to:
A. Acquire the basic skills necessary to communicate with others;
B. Acquire the abilities to observe, to listen, and to follow directions;
C. Accumulate those experiences which will build self-esteem and self-confidence in himself/herself and others;
D. Attain an attitude of wanting to learn, to observe and analyze with a spirit of inquiry;
E. Cultivate an appreciation of the fine arts;
F. Develop an awareness of our heritage and the knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship;
G. Obtain the desire to participate in activities that will provide the individual’s optimum physical, mental, and emotional health;
H. Acquire skills, attitudes, experiences and knowledge to become a creative thinker, a willing worker and a contributing tolerant citizen.
I. Instill the characteristics of time management and effort.
