The District provides reading programming to identify and help underachieving students in kindergarten through grade eight.
The District will provide opportunities to prevent reading failures by building upon what the child already knows about reading, writing, speaking and listening, and intervening if a child is not achieving at benchmark level in accordance with the state minimum performance level, or other objective evidence of student reading comprehension accurately reflecting the child's ability.
