Purchasing in the District shall be in accordance with state law, accepted purchasing procedures, ethical business practices, and the District's purchasing guidelines.

Purchase of supplies and equipment shall be made through established requisition procedures. The District's Purchasing Guidelines must be followed in order to ensure payment. It is the desire of the Board that all purchases be made at the best price available, giving consideration to quality, conformity to developed specifications, suitability to the requirements of the educational system and delivery terms.

Any public officer or public employee is prohibited from having any private interest in a public contract except as permitted by law.
