The District has, as a prime concern, the health, safety, and welfare of all students, employees, and visitors. Further, it is the objective of the Board, through its staff, to make the school district properties safe, healthful and hazard free. All employees are responsible and accountable for the practice of safety.
Staff and/or student safety training includes, but is not limited to the following: first aid, A.E.D. certification, hazardous materials listing, Internet safety, fire safety drills, tornado safety drills, checks of well water, bus evacuation drills and procedures for schools bus safety, security screening procedures for visitors, criminal background checks for new employees and volunteers, procedures for administration of student medication during off-site trips, proper storage of toxic or hazardous materials, secure records storage and asbestos checks.
